Anti-Racism & Community Engagement Program

Commitment

Anti-Racist Awareness and Commitment

The Anti-Racism & Community Engagement Program at Happy Hearts Learning Centre (HHLC) empowers children, youth, families, and community members to challenge racism, celebrate cultural identity, and build meaningful connections across diverse communities.
Our program addresses the realities faced by Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and racialized groups, while promoting solidarity, healing, and collective action. Through workshops, community dialogues, cultural events, and advocacy initiatives, HHLC supports the creation of a Calgary where equity, inclusion, and respect are part of everyday life.

We collaborate with partners such as CIWA, Action Dignity, PIA, and Indigenous organizations to ensure programming is community-driven, culturally informed, and impactful.
